I still don't know why the Lottery dropped the original draw sequence with that fantastic bed and musical stabs as each ball came out. It was just such a coherent piece of presentation, that made everything that followed seem a bit cheap and nasty.

Are there any anniversaries coming up that could be used to resurrect it for old times sake?

Although very exciting for us lot it would probably seem very dated now. But I guess that wouldn't be the case if it was never dropped. Would be nice if they'd done some sort of reworking of the original though.

Yes they are doing an overhaul of the lottery as well, 59 numbers now, the perfect excuse to pack it in.

That was clearly the plan, but the new lottery quiz was delayed a week when Who Dares Wins was dropped the other week for Wimbledon.

5 Star Family Reunion really is a terrible name for a quiz, sounds like something somebody would make up for a mock schedule.

It's also odd that two lottery gameshows in a row are hosted by Nick Knowles. Are there no other hosts available?

I thought Scotland would have placed a sting in itself instead its leaving the endbroad on for longer.

I just saw the "old" style Lottery results screen (the light beams) after the local news bulletin. Has the new style been dropped already?

It's far more likely to be a mistake, not that anyone is expecting the new style to be dropped.
