The cost of the idents are no where near the cost of making a single programme on BBC3. I've notice the Bird idents has alot of birds flying in and out...
(And i know it wouldn't make much of a difference)
But with the money that they used to have these idents, the BBC could have used the money on BBC Three
Because to me it is like "We have no money left, close down BBC Three" and then i feel like they have found some money down the back of the sofa and thought just use it all on BBC One (But I think they should have had new idents for BBC Two, as the Christmas idents have been used for about 5 years)
Just My Opinion, Don't Want To Start A Arguement, Just Putting A Point Out There
You are either severely underestimating the cost of running a tv channel, or severely overestimating the cost of producing a couple of pretty basic (but nice) animated idents.
Would people have preferred them if they were made up of live action clips similar to the scenes that have been animated, or would that be similar to ITV1 January 2006?
I did say 'I know it doesn't make a difference', I know that a keeping a tv channel on air does cost a lot of money
But I do still think that the BBC could have made new Christmas idents for BBC Two, because every year BBC One have had new Xmas Idents, while BBC Two have used two sets of idents many times (i know that more people watch BBC One)
But I think I am only saying about the idents because, both BBC One and BBC Two used to have new Xmas idents every year now it just seems that they don't care about BBC Two anymore (But at the end of the day it's about the programming, not the presentation, even though that is what this thread is about)
