BBC One 2015

No ident into Stargazing Live on BBC One this morning. Just a handover from Breakfast.

BBC has a new Iplayer promo, all around love, it would seem.

The song was performed live at the end of The One Show, immediately before the airing of the promo, which was a bit odd.

Nice way to nod to specific shows without showing a single clip. And apparently now it's officially just Strictly with no Come Dancing

Is this something new I've missed, or is it just laziness on the BBC's part?

They've used that style occassionally for years.

I wouldn't say it was laziness - I'm bored stiff of those bloody red endboards...

I actually quite like this. If it removes clutter and stays consistent with the BBC One logo positioning with the rest of the trailer, whats to complain about?

I've never been keen on the red endboards since they started using them at the tail-end of the dancers package. If there's one colour I don't want to see cover my screen, it's red.

Plus this reminds me of the 1998 trailer style, where it was literally just programme name, time and date, and channel neatly aligned at the bottom of the screen. Minimalistic, but tidy.
