At a guess that's what happens when the Scotland ECP is applied to the dirty network feed rather than the clean feed?

That's what I presumed. Strangely enough though, after the Scotland ECP animated off, the network ECP cut away as if they had done a sudden cut from the dirty feed to the clean feed.

Well, yes, but I was wondering why they'd do it halfway during the end credits of a programme
