9pm slot against football, Wolf Hall and the Brit Awards = Disaster.
Probably best for a Saturday night slot before or after the Lottery.

Wouldn't call that slot a disaster, the Brit Awards I don't think ever win their slot, they skew very young, Arsenal are not a massive draw and they're not playing a very big team, plus it's on Sky, and Wolf Hall is aimed at a totally different audience. Plus it's after Bake Off. Wouldn't be surprised if it won its slot quite comfortably.

It is actually quite good complementary scheduling, but do think a weekend slot (even at 6pm) would suit it better.

I don't mind that but the box logo at the bottom is so off-putting - would look quite nice with just the BBC One text.

NI used Red Nose variant of Dog Display team before Bake Off a week or so ago. Got it on file on hard drive if required.

Indeed. But it wasn't a disaster, either, given there was no dancing in it. Be different if it was normal Strictly.
