Hmm, it sounds like the sort of thing the BBC would do. Certainly seemed like an odd move that they were showing pine tree needles being vacuumed up... in January!

Why is that odd? It's something I did the other day after we took the decorations down in time for 12th night

I wasn't aware anyone still had their trees up through New Year nowadays - I took my decorations down on the 30th. Each to their own I suppose.

The 12 days of Christmas go on until 6th January, but I usually take them down on the weekend after New Year's (so this year - the 3rd/4th). I wouldn't personally take down my decorations before New Year's - surely that's still part of the festive celebrations?

I suppose I'm a bit of a festive oddity then. As I said, each to their own Smile

Michael, yep, there it is. I mean, Arial, is there a cheaper font?

Good god, Comic Sans on BBC1 - perish the thought!

You'd think, with the right fonts and with the BBC's masking abilities, they'd be able to whip up something decent looking. Right?

Stings were used during the Love 2013/Love 2014 periods too.

I don't actually remember them. Unless I thought there were just start of a promo.

I think that's Helvetica, not Arial. Look at the Q.

There's no difference between the Helvetica Q and Arial Q.

Here's a little comparison if you don't believe me. Wink

But there clearly is a difference. It's visible in your image, but obvious if you blow the letters up.

That said, I think it's Arial in that capture, but without a higher quality cap of the slide it's impossible to tell. The lowercase T is really obvious difference.

Let's just say it's a neo-grotesque based font.

Did you have permission to take them down?

Even the least festive people I knew lasted until the New Year with decorations.
