Certainly for the last few years BBC have called the weekend before Christmas Winners Weekend usually with Strictly and the Apprentice finals the day after each other and the last few years they have added in the BBC Sports Personality Award but they never had separate branding as shown above, the last time I remember them using the BBC Christmas Idents/Trails to plug Winners Weekend.
I think some people forget but the Apprentice has only fairly recently moved to a winter slot as I remember trying to study for A Levels when at school and University exams while missing episodes of the Apprentice.

Didn't it move to Autumn in 2010 because of the General Election, and then remain there from that point onwards? For the next few years after 2010 I think we had Young Apprentice in the Spring instead until that was cancelled, leaving us with just the normal Apprentice in the Autumn.

I've just checked the original air dates for the series finals over the past few years, and it turns out I am mis-remembering! I've associated the end of the Apprentice with the run-up to Christmas in my mind, but it appears that 2014 was the first year since 2010 when the series has aired in the Autumn, with the final episodes of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 episodes all airing June/July time.
EDIT: Looks like I'm not completely misremembering after all! Just checked the Young Apprentice scheduling and it turns out that it aired in the Autumn (apart from 2010 when it aired in the Spring/Summer as the main show was on at the end of the year), ending just before Christmas and with the main series in the Spring rather than the other way around! The last series was in 2012, meaning 2013 was the only year between 2010 and 2015 without an Apprentice final before Christmas.

I wonder if someone pressed for time may have taken to Google for "bbc one logo" which returns the above as the top result.
Still, it's surprising those responsible for this kind of thing wouldn't immediately pick up on something being amiss. The letterforms do not look even remotely similar and the current logo has been in use far, far longer than the above ever was.
It's a minor error no ordinary viewers will pick up on or care about in itself, of course , but it is symptomatic of a wider malaise and blasé attitude towards pretty basic branding rules that show no signs of being arrested.
