Is it just me or has anyone noticed any freezing problems yesterday and today on BBC One? "Neighbours suffered a couple of freezes for a second or two and then carried one. One these problems occured over a fight sequence. I just put it down to a tramission error, but it froze in exactly the same place in today's episode recap.

Does anyone know what might have happened? Damage to the master??

I managed to see the end of both the 130 & 535 showings yesterday.

I put it down to dodgy editing of an already dodgy (read possible violent) fight sequence for daytime viewing.

Isn't Neighbours transmitted in a later slot down under, compared to the UK ?

Don't the UK broadcasters have to do some edits to both Neighbours & H&A because of this?

Neighbours is transmitted at 6:30 in Australia.

If they'd edited it for violence, why would the picture freeze like that. Wouldn't it just jump cut or something?

Edited to add: Watching it back, it looks like they have frozen it to take out some of the punches and just show the reactions. Pretty pointless as they left Scott punching Dylan in the other day.

From what I saw, it looked like it had been done intentionally.

This has also been questioned on the BTTB Message Board, and an Aussie viewer advised that the Australian episode of Neighbours had the same 'freezes' . He wrote:

"Guys if your talking about the scene when the dudes come out of the bush, attack Stu with Cindy present, it was edited that way I presume by Neighbours editors - as it was like that in Australia - I think they were trying to use a 'strange' filming technique to create a dramatic/tense atmosphere - but In my opnion, it took my attention away from the scene itself as it was far too obvious...
