Caught it before Give My Head Peace tonight - when did this come along?

It's not an ident. It's a sting, which follows the symbol. It's just for a campaign highlighting the amount and range of local programming that BBC NI provides.

Change the title of the thread for God's sake, you'll over excite people...

Whenever they saw the ones BBC Wales have been running and decided "we'll copy that" ?

Yes and nice to see that inaccurate [B][B][C] logo back again.

And how often do BBC NI's dream team of Christine Blakeley and Stephen Nolan appear in this trail?

Having just checked, it looks ok to me...

Is anyone able to provide any captures or stills of the trail? Cheers...

Mmm. Saw it from a distance so I could be mistaken. It didn't seem to stand out very well from the bright background if I recall correctly - could have been doing with some sort of shadow effect.

I see we have a special motif on the BBC ONE NI end boards now too for local programming.

I can only hope that some day soon we'll have an end to this ludicrous local branding on BBC TWO. On analogue, we now have local announcers over Network idents proclaiming that 'you're watching BBC TWO Northern Ireland' - although the 'Northern Ireland' verbal references are usually post-6pm. On digital, as analogue, we have local voices with Network symbols during the day - it's 'BBC TWO' until 6pm...after which on digital it becomes BBC TWO NI...and then after midnight, back to 'BBC TWO' again, with local announcers (sometimes).

All makes perfect sense.

Just saw/heard it for the first time.

Looks dated, and hardly a catchy slogan.

(IMHO.)

If BBC NI haven't pulled this sting yet, I should have a chance to see it tonight...
