What is it with North West Tonight weekend bulletins? Tonight we had 1 min of news, 4 mins of sport and 10 secs of weather. Why is sport so important as to take 4 mins of the programme?! Once, about 6 months ago, the whole bulletin was sport. There was not ONE news story in it!!
BTW, where's Julia Sharp gone to? She has presented every weekend bulletin since Christmas. She has disappeared for over 3 months! Nigel Jay has done them since. Surely it can't be a 4 month holiday!!
Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Derbyshire, I think. Well, the Peak District was mentioned a few months back, so I presume it covers a bit of Derbyshire!!

Yep, we do get BBC North West here in the Peak District, in Buxton, Derbyshire. However, if you go over to the other side of the town in a part of it called Harpur Hill, you get Midlands. If you look near the end of the titles for NWT, you can see Buxton in the bottom-right of the region.
Thats right you can! I forgot about that! Its quite a large region really, its densly populated. We also have parts of the Lake District, sharing it with BBC North East and Cumbria!

I saw the last 5 minutes of Granada News and there was more news in that than the entire NWT programme!
The only reports in NWT were to do with sport, there was a 10 second slot on 2 murders, but about 5 minutes for sport!
Did you ever see that bulletin about 6 months ago where there was NO news at all? I felf like complaining!! Surely they can make something up!!
I don't think Nigel Jay is as good as at Breakfast on weekend bulletins. He seems to rush through, much faster than Julia Sharp. He's great on Breakfast. At weekends though, its hard to keep up with him!
