Last year it was announced that in the summer the BBC North region with Look North from Leeds would be split into two regions with the Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire region having their own opt-outs on the main programme at 6.30 and their own 10.25 main bulletin.
Does anyone know any more about where these will be presented from, who will present them or when they will launch?

Going to answer my own question now!
Just seen it reported that Clare Frisby will be heading the new team in Hull for Humberside and Lincolnshire.
Crista Ackroyd, presenter of Calendar for years, is joining Harry Gration in Leeds for the main Look North from the autumn.
I'm quite sad at this because I think Clare is much better than Crista - but Clare is reported to have said she is 'delighted' with the new plans.
Interesting news over in Humberside and Lincolnshire (my former home!) Wonder who'll be main presenter with Mike Morris on Calendar from the Autumn then? Shame to see Harry and Clare away from each other, I thought they made a good team!
Cheers, Asa

Yes, I agree - but apparently Clare said she loved working with Harry but a point comes where you love to 'fly solo' (or something on those lines...). I'm sure we'll see the day when she moves to London... I think she's good enough.

Ooops! Didn't notice this when I started a new post - sorry; the subtitle for the post was too small! As for who'll come to Calendar, maybe Christine Talbot will leave the Wellbeing channel and come back! That'd be great, actually; we're missing a decent team on Calendar, and Christine's been off our screens since 'Tonight' was axed!

OH NO! Not Christa Ackroyd! KEEP HER ON YTV! I hate her style. Aaaarggghhhh! (well at least we keep the best, Claire Frisby in my part of the region!)

I think it's great that Clare's coming over to Hull to work for us - it's about time we got a decent service from Look North, which in my opinion has always been far too Leeds-based! Please note... just because the Humber region is served by BBC Radio Humberside doesn't mean that the county still exists! For people who don't know - we've got the East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull, North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire! Please don't call the area Humberside!!

I take one day off the internet to get some revision done, and didn't see yesterday's Calendar, and Christa Ackroyd goes and joins t'other side!
I'll be looking forward to the first 'Peter Levy and Christa Ackroyd' (it doesn't sound right!) edition of Look North.
Christa's been presenting Calendar for at least 12 years to my knowledge.
As I live in West Yorkshire, I won't see Clare Frisby doing the east opt out, Maybe they got Christa because of her expertise at doing 'And now more of today's Local News' links into the Calendar opt outs!, I thought that some non-entity like Tom Ingall or Charlotte Doney would end up presenting the East opts
It looks like Christine Talbot could come back to Calendar (she used to present occasionally with the great Richard Whiteley in the mid 90s), as she was presenting today and apparantly yesterday.
Christine was always supposed to be returning to YTV in September, she said this on the last 'tonight', but I always thought she would return and work on 'Live Lunch' back alongside Gaynor Barnes replacing (another 'C' name!!) Carolyn Hodgson who currently co-presents it.
I also think there seems to be a shortage of presenters on YTV lately, as even the likes of Nicola Crompton have been presenting some non-news regional shows like 'Painting the Past' lately, these were always a Christine Talbot area.
Finally, maybe Christa has moved to the BBC because it is a easier job, Christa some days presented 3 bulletins a day, but obviously on Look North, theres no need as they've got Peter Levy for that!
I am really surprised to see Christa defecting to the beeb, however I guess that Look North is now the best regional news programme in the area and she wants to be part of that. Calendar needs a shake-up, ok the presentation has recently changed but the format and style has become a bit second rate. It will be interesting to see who replaces her, think they should go for a big name, and while they're at it also get rid of Mike Morris. Not sure about Christine, she's become a bit 'lightweight' following Tonight, Wellbeing etc.

I think the article I read on BBC Leeds Online and in the Yorkshire Evening Post said that Christa was moving because the BBC was spending much more money on local programming and news programmes and she wanted to be a part of the major expansion which is taking place.
Fair enough, although I still would have preferred Clare to stay in Leeds!
Christine Talbot and Fraser Maude presented tonight's (and yesterdays) edition of Calendar. Nicola Crompton did the News Round-up for the main region. Geoff Druet was at the Election Desk.
Meanwhile, Peter Levy and Penny Bustin presented Look North, Trevor Appleton did the weather.
So basically, the 5 main presenters, Christa Ackroyd, Mike Morris, Clare Frisby, Harry Gration and Paul Hudson were all absent today!
It seemed really strange to see Christine back behind the Calendar newsdesk, a gig she hasn't done for a couple of years. Does the fact she has come back indicate that she will become Christa's replacement ? The usual no.2 for Christa used to be Lesley Alexander (what happened to her) or Karen Petch has done it as well. It's unusual for both Christa and Mike to be off at the same time. Fraser Maude seems a strange choice as no.2, John Shires used to stand in for Mike.
