I know it's sad but did anyone else spot the BBC News Washington mugs that they used on Dateline Washington today?

Didn't notice the mugs... but did see the hastily cobbled-together titles with Dateline WASHINGTON added at the end....

A bit like the recent SPORTStalk - all they done was show the usual HARDtalk titles but cut out the bits that showed Hard so all you seen was Talk

Are they actually windows? When BBC Midlands today first went corporate (before the awful big live shot of Brum city centre) they had 'windows' on the wall behind them - but they were actually just widescreen tellies on their side (and you really couldn't tell)!

So are the 'windows' in the American BBC News studio really windows?

They probably are. Just my overactive imagination!

What do u think .... listen carefully you can sometimes hear newsroom phones ringing when the big studio is used! Does it always seem quite sunny in Washington???? I'm saying no more!
