It's the same weekend as Mardi Gras, Mike. Don't know where it is though.

Try as I might, I can't find any info about this on the BBC website.
Where's the official source of information @ BBCi for this "tour"?

So is BIG MOIRA going to any of these? If so which one?

She might be - lots of the big names are going - Huw, Sian, Sophie, Gavin, Phil Hayton, Jennie Bond were all in Newquay.
As to the other points ...
It's in Manchester over the Bank Holiday weekend to tie in with Europride. From memory it's going to be in Exchange Square (but don't quote me on that).
Manchester is the last place it's going to be as this was only the first year that BBC News has done something like this.

Europride is 15th August - 25th. Roughly. The Parade is the Saturday (23rd?). I think it officially starts on the 15th, but doesn't actually get going properly until the Friday, that's when you have to have tickets to go to Via Fossa... heh, great. You and 10,000 others.

I'm on holiday for most of the thing, but volunteered myself (WHY?!?!) to help on the final day. Jetlag here I come.

So the chances are I'm likely to walk past you and not know who you are, but you'll be able to say, "Quick, hide! It's that old codger from tvf..." Wink

I would never, dear.

It's going to be a bit weird actually, I set off home from Heathrow at about 11ish at night and get to Manc in the early hours, so ESSENTIALly (no pun, no pun) it's going to be like walking into a party.

Of course, I have to go home to deepest darkest Cheshire, drop my bags off, get ready and go back again a few hours later. Hoo-bloody-ray.

By sheer coincidence, I'm holidaying in Washington when some giant gay tennis/badminton/thingy tournament is going on. So there's compensation - tennis players are always fit.

And you will know me if you see me - my unedited, brand new picture is just inches away from your mouse pointer.

Not that I am one to tease.

You tease...

Yes, of course, I've worked out what you meant. At least I'll know who to look out for and avoid now. Wink
