That is excellent! Very upbeat and BBC News. Does every radio county have their own different version?
No - they're very much in the minority. Some stations have some variation on the generic BBC Local Radio theme, while others, like Southern Counties Radio, have their own totally individual news theme and jingle package. (In fact, the news theme is the only decent part of the SCR package).

I think the presenters like it as well - they seem to shut up a lot quicker, and let the news theme run a little longer without talking over it.
And Monday to Fridays, after the 7.00 news, BBC Radio Kent join the networked Evening Programme across the South. And so they join in on time, they play a different version of the news theme.
So click the link on a weekday evening at about 7.25, and keep listening for the end of the news - its great!
