THINGS LIKE THIS ARE NOT IMPORTANT. Unfortunate yes but NOT IMPORTANT.
Right, and that automatically means we can't talk about it, does it? Blimey, I think we all have a sense of just how sad this can seem to people and that's fair enough but so what? If you're just going to be so rude to post telling us to get a life then doesn't that seem a little hypocritical? If you've got nothing better to do than read this forum and (along with Nicholas) have a go at us, then just disappear now.

Mark, I don't think you've quite grasped the concept of this forum, have you? The forum is about TV presentation, not about the news. Whether it is unimportant or not, we still find it interesting, and it obviously is important how a news bulletin looks, otherwise we would just get a presenter sat in front of a black screen with no music or intro. And if trivial things like this don't matter, why was the inset changed then? Why has the studio just been revamped?
Blimey, you lot are uptight. I think Mr Davey has a very valid point. This endless pedantic nit picking over trivial details of a news studio is pretty pathetic. I have only gone to the trouble of registering to this site because all my tv news work colleagues and I find it hysterical to see your petty discussions about such unimportant details. The comment about the news presenter using a 'breakfast' chair was particulary entertaing. Just so you can all sleep at night it was used because it was the Breakfast studio that was being used and no one could be arsed to carry a 'news' chair halfway round the building. Get a life. The colour of a news presenters chair is NOT important. It is about NEWS not bloody chair colours.
thank you and goodbye.
Ps I have just seen that the 6 briefing sting did not fit the plasma in the last bulletin BUT before you all post with your outraged comments REMEMBER; THINGS LIKE THIS ARE NOT IMPORTANT. Unfortunate yes but NOT IMPORTANT.
Just remember mate, without us viewers, you'd be out of a job.

If presentation doesn't matter, they why not just do the news with a plain studio. It's evident that the BBC spends thousnads of our pounds on getting the presentation right. It's therefore a pity when the graphics department screw up and produce that horrid sidebar. As Licence payers I think we have a right to comment on it. If you don't agree then explain why.

Yes, Rob you're right - now then, shall we all boycot the BBC news? Lol!
My God, he says the news is the more important thing - that's not what the BBC says when there are all these ratings wars! Lol!
And you all laugh about us do you? I'm surprised you have the time with all the work you should do gathering and presenting the 'everchanging news'.
Thank you and good night!
Cheers me deers,
Mike

I'm afraid it's the licence fee which pays us... so unless you chuck your TV out of a window, we still get your cash.... Hahahahahahah!

Now there's a good reason for scrapping the license fee if ever I did see one.

After looking at your web page, I reckon scrapping your Internet access might be a better idea....

Mr Videowall
And after looking at your comments, (mind my french), you to kindly ****off from TV Forum might be an even better idea.
EDIT: Oh well, the forum censorship sensor blocked the word, good job actually.

We did actually! Sorry, very bad taste!
And if there was ever a reason to ban someone, I think this might be it!

So what? In order to prove to someone like you that we don't all live by presentation 24/7, we're what? Meant to talk about the day we've had at the end of our posts or something?
And in fairness Mike, we all know how we felt on that day and even programmes like Liquid News talked about how news channels coped with it.
