BBC News 'Specials'

Are the BBC News Specials with Gavin Esler using special opening titles, or are they just the ordinary overnight BBC News ones? I keep missing the blasted things!! I know they keep swapping the vamp they use - i've heard all three!!

Well @ 3.00pm today, they used the News 24 headline bed then with the World ident! The other day they used the full BBC World idents. But as for the 'special' titles, I've only heard the sombre ones being used when the special is finishing, but theyn are very short!

They really should use more of the 'special' titles!

Aah now be careful. Was it the BBC World News ident, or the BBC News (overnight) one? There are slight differences!!

I don't really notice a difference. The only thing I notice, is that it it's the BBC World ident it will display BBC World at the bottom, and in this case it didn't. So I guess it was the overnight ident.

The only other difference is that in the background on the overnight one it has place names spinning around, but on the world one, they are replaced by 'world'.

I've never ever noticed that! Oh well I better go and have a look!

Ah! I wondered if there was a difference between the 2!

From when I saw one at 9pm yesterday, it was BBC World hed bed (no thunderclaps) then BBC World overnight sting. Didn't watch the end though.

Doesn't it sound brilliant with the BBC World Headline Bed, rather than the extremely boring News 24 one!
