A while ago, probably about 6 months ago, did anyone watch the BBC News at Six when they used the BBC News at Six Sting at 6:25, before the regional news? They usually use the end titles, but they used the sting by mistake, and it lasted for about a minute!! The good thing about it was that the bed to the sting is not used for anything else, its really unusual.

It sounds like it was good although I didn't hear it! BBC NEWS, I think may be having a new look becuase I've noticed quite a few more mistakes lately, could that mean that they don't care and just are working on new news ones? Worth it to wonder...........
Actually, if you work it out, the 'blue globe' theme came in in April 1993 and finished in April 1997 - 4 years exactly. The current theme began in April 1997 and it is now April 2001 - 4 years exactly!!

Wasn't it April 1999 that the Corporate News idents appeared on BBC ONE? That makes 6 years of the 'Blue Globe'?

Yeah, the current BBC News premiered in 1999 -- the BALLOON premiered in 1997, but not the new look news.

October 1999 - Regional News programmes changed to their current format.
My bet is that BBC presentation (Balloons) will change within the next 2 years, before BBC News which will probably change in 2005.
