Mr Me
For the last few years now, tucked away late in the evenings somewhere in between Christmas and New Year, the BBC has done a 'news review of the year'. It is usually quite good, with good graphics and music, and a good roundup of the years main events - last year it was done by Fiona Bruce at the Millenium Dome, and I think Edward Stourton, Sue Lawley and David Dimbleby have all done them. But, this year it seems by glancing at the xmas Radio Times, they are not doing one and I was just wondering if anybody knew why? Too expensive with war going on maybe???
There doesn't seem to be one scheduled, but with what's happened in the news this year you'd expect it take up over half an evening as it is!

I suppose thats a fair point - but if not a case to actually do one, you know all that stuff that has happened to recap. Any way there has been Sven and thrashing Germany 5-1, the most boring election in history (apart from Prescott's punch), Leeds footballers, Bulger killers released, that woman who sailed round the world, not to mention the horror of September 11 and all that has happened since.

I must say that I was pretty disappointed with last years programmes from the BBC. They all took the exact same format. So I hope there will be some good programming this year:)
