What time does BBC Online relaunch, because if its midnight I may stay up. Anyway, atleast in the future, when analogue is turned off there will be loads more space, the BBC should be able to launch all of these, am I right?

I know that Online becomes BBCi tomorrow but I'm not sure if the full interactive service (including the video streams) launches tomorrow ... I think it may be later in the month (that's the word on the street) but I may be proved wrong.

Launch all of what Mich? When analogue is switched off, there won't AFAIK be any more 'space' but a stronger signal (and a lot of money for the government in selling off the frequencies to phone companies)
I doubt it'll be midnight. Probably 9am when they all stagger into their offices
Unless the management set too early a deadline and the poor coders are stuck trying to make it in time!
Cheers, Asa

Fair enough I was just being hopeful on the BBC Online front (I do like that name!). Anyway i'd have thought they would have had a much larger amount of space because they havn't got to send out 5 huge analogue channels, this understanding of mine came from reading a post, probably in the DS forum saying that when analogue closed, that terrestrial would have about the same capacity as Sky currently do, although it could just have been total rubbish!

There is a big spread on BBCi in this week's Ariel, so I assume its safe to talk about now..
I suspect Sky News Active is going to look pretty mediocre in comparison once this is launched.
Firstly its called BBC News Interactive (not News 24, although much of the material will come from there), and you will be able to get to it from any BBC channel using the i-bar (unlike Sky).
Four quarter screens for initial launch, with
- News Headlines (3 minute bulletin commissioned by News 24),
- Sports Round Up (again something Sky haven't got, this bit will be based on the video bulletin they already do for Sport Online but updated more often during the day),
- Weather Forecast (self explanatory) and
- probably the best one, News Plus, which is going to have the debates/forums that usually go on BBC online, and live coverage of certain events. And you can email/SMS your views on particular issues in the usual way and they will be included in the programme.
And the great thing about that is, reading between the lines, the BBC will now be able to run those trails for Panorama debates etc. after the one o'clock news referring to BBCi, with a nice red button presumably appearing for DSAT viewers taking you straight into the service.
People on digital cable will be the first people who can interact directly with the forums using the TV, followed by DSAT and DTT in a few months time.
The regional bulletins will also be available via the i-bar.
Apologies to Nicky etc. if I've said to much, though I assume its all in the public domain now.

ok do you have any images of these services...
BBC Text on DSat has been rebranded BBCi and looks soo much better and goes at almost instantaneous speed.
