Just been admiring the furniture on BBC NEWS. I have a newsdesk at work (radio though) and it would be good to have a mustard coloured chair there. Does anyone know
if
the BBC or any other place sells these. And also for how much. The desk would be great too!
I would love to have a BBC News desk , I mean who wouldnt like to have their computer built into the desk it looks so cool, also the BBC reception tables that have plasma screens mounted on them would look great as a coffee table
Wouldn't it be nice to have a Breakfast style coffee table. We should be able to buy those things that go across the 'windows' on the regional news. We could put them against all out windows.
Then again, maybe not. I'm not that bad! HONEST!
It would be good to buy the chairs though.

This is really a plea to the BBC Cameraman. Please, is there anyway the public can buy these things.
I have looked on IKEA.com
Beeb.com
Many furnture companies
PLEASE! Help.
P.S. Where
on-line
can you buy BBC Mercahdise from i.e. The BBC Balloon toy, mousemat with lBlBlCl written on it. Please, there must be an online site. I've tried BBC SHOP, bloody hell - like looking for a needle in a haystack! (i also tried Beeb.com for merchandise - no luck)
Go to the clothing section of beeb.com and there you can get some items but not many like the mousemat

It';s OK!
Please, BBC Cameraman, you must know where they got the desks from?

So when they go to the newsroom next and Michael Buerk is sitting there in an empty studio on a standard black chair - we'll know who the culprits are!!!
I'm pretty sure that the BBC News desks were purpose built for the BBC. I doubt you can buy them. The chairs i would think you could buy as the are just standard office chairs. www.bbcshop.com sells the mousemat, baseball cap etc. Does anyone know if you can buy BBC stationery and where its available?

I have just received the following information from the BBC Information Department regarding furniture!:
'Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding furniture featured on BBC News bulletins.
With regard to your enquiry, I have been unable to get information on the chairs you are interested in. Costumes, furniture and props used in BBC productions
come from a variety of sources including outside
agencies and our own various stores. In addition some things are specially made or purchased. We apologise
that it is not possible for us to spend time tracking down the origin of individual items. There are sometimes sales of old BBC costumes, furniture or
props through auctioneers such as Christie's - we publicise them and suggest that you keep an eye on the press for such events in the future.
Thank you again for contacting the BBC.
Regards
Colin Cumming

It looks like, after all that, we can't get them!

Well Thankyou for emailing them though! That was a very kind thing to do. I'll keep a look out in the press then!
