At last News 24 have fixed the line-up problem with the LIVE and Location graphics. Looks a bit better - all that needs fixing now is the location text and the empty red box when it's recorded.

Perhaps if they changed the font of the location text to make it clearer, and swapped the LIVE box to the bottom and location box to the top - allowing them to leave off the LIVE box when needed - it'd be OK.

Bill and Sian on the 'Six' - Nah - there's no room for Chemistry there - Let's hope that Sophie returns on schedule and the Bill and Sian show will resume on Breakfast soon.

Smile

Incidentally has Natasha Kaplinsky done an evening BBC One bulletin before tonight?

Well whatever is going to happen to it, it is certainly being put to use. Currently Click Online are using it, so who knows what the future might hold. It is a good looking set though so it would be a shame to lose it.

Oh I think it's lost forever ...

In which case, I couldn't have one of those plasma screens could I? After all, it is my BBC and I would kill, repeat KILL to have one! Shame.

Is it known when the 30 minute version of the BBC Three news will begin and who will front it?

Personally, this is who should front BBC News and Breakfast:

Mondays - Fridays

Arrow 6 o'clock = Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams or Emily Maitliss and Simon McCoy
Arrow 10 o'clock = Huw Edwards or Fiona Bruce

Weekends

Either Jon Sopel, Chris Lowe, Mishal Husain or Suzannah Read

BREAKFAST

Mondays - Thursdays: Arrow Dermot Murnaghan & Natasha Kaplinsky or Jon Sopel & Louise Minchin
Fridays Arrow Bill Turnbull & Sian Williams (as always! Very Happy ) or Emily Maitliss & Simon McCoy
Weekend 24 Saturdays Arrow Bill Turnbull & Sian Williams or Mishal Husain & Stephen Cole
Breakfast Sundays Arrow Matthew Amroliwala & Jane Hill or Maxine Mawhinney & Chris Eakin

It is interesting to see the now defunct Liquid News studio being used for HARDtalk Extra. Does anyone know if this is to be the permanent home for HARDtalk/HARDtalk Extra/Extra Time?

The Liquid News studio is not defunct - only the Liquid News set (there is a big difference between a studio and a set). The studio will continue to produce the 7 O'Clock News and 60 Seconds as it has done since they launched - their set is opposite the Liquid News set in the same studio.

It is unlikely that the Liquid News set will remain in the studio - I would imagine that the 7 O'Clock News will want to expand into the space that is now available for their new 30 minute show.

Click OnLine is a recorded programme - not live... They recorded their programme (though didn't edit it - allowing for news reactive voice overs) a while ago.

I suspect the plasma screens will remain somewhere in the BBC...

OK, well if we're playing this game again, after tonight's excellent performance by Natasha I'd do it like this:

Breakfast - Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams (Mon - Wed)
Bill Turnbull and Mishal Husain (Thu - Fri)
Simon McCoy and Mishal Husain (Sat / Sun)
(Jon Sopel and Jules Botfield as stand-ins)

1:00 News - Fiona Bruce (Mon - Wed)
Sian Williams (Thu - Fri)
(Jane Hill as stand-in)

6:00 News - Dermot Murnaghan and Sophie Raworth(Mon - Thu)
Darren Jordon and Natasha Kaplinsky (Fri)
(Bill Turnbull and Jane Hill as stand-ins)

10:00 News - Huw Edwards (Mon - Thu)
George Alagiah (Fri and Sun)
(Darren Jordon and Fiona Bruce as stand-ins)

Weekend bulletins -
Natasha Kaplinsky
(Darren Jordon, Jane Hill and Sophie Raworth as stand-ins)

Good plan or what?!!
