Why do some of the camera angles on News 24 appear to have a blue tint. Manisha was surrounded by a sea of blue at the start of business today last night!

Oh dear. The N24 location strap is in uppercase now. Easier to read but looks even worse - especially when CENTRAL LONDON spills to two lines!

does anyone know why the locaation strap was moved?
However it does now look better than before

News 24 seems to be using a new graphic at the moment -

I wish the clock would line up with the split-screens!

Just got to watch News 24 for a 45 minute stretch from just after 8pm for the first time in ages, and I must say how impressed I was with the whole setup- it simply wiped the floor with the competition.

I came in at the end of the Bush speech, and a friendly "Bush" intelligent ticker kept me up to date with what he'd said. This was followed by analysis from Westminster with two speakers, which was really interesting. Guest in the studio for the Microsoft story. Guest in the studio and on the screen from Westminster for Football money story- a really entertaining piece with Eric Hall being the studio guest and they weren't afraid to let it run overtime and delay the weather which is encouraging (great use of overhead tracking camera). Then after the half hour summary, really intelligent debate with 2 guests in the studio on the Iraq suicide bombings- more tracking camera.

So all in all, 4 live studio guests plus 4 live OBs in about 40 minutes and a distinctive analysis feel to the whole show that was expertly run by Louise Minchion and Jon Sopel. You just wouldn't see that on Sky or ITV and I think that's the most positive aspect of the relaunch.

Yep, News 24 really has delivered on its promise to become more analytical. I have to admit that I was fairly sceptical about the relaunch, thinking that the changes to the channel would be mainly cosmetic and wouldn't actually address the things that it needed to change editorially, but I'm pleased to say I was wrong.

That said, I'm not entirely sure that they're drawing as heavily on the regions as they said they would - but the channel is still vastly better than it was this time last year.

is it just me or is the animation on the astons much smoother since the kaboom?

Why don't they have the 'your email' slot anymore on Matthew & Jane?

Used to be a big part and they were forever asking for emails and texts and reading out the address/number.

Has anyone else noticed that the N24 location caption that was recently moved from next to "LIVE", to the tower - became capitals sometime the last few days?

And while I think of it, there was talk a while back that Breakfast has become a lot less "chatty" and more "newsy" from 8-9am. Whilst I still think N24 should consider going its own way, has this been maintained? I'll try to watch it one morning....

I notice they have a "Your Say" feature at around 3.30pm (or they used to) with viewers' emails on a news event. Something the ITVNC was doing nearly a year ago during the Iraq War, but with calls instead.

I think this is because they want to be able to use it when the re-play a LIVE report and not have an empty red box.

Seems like they've just moved it earlier then.
