Saw the new titles, nice red globe, shame they have ruined the 24 bit, I liked the yellow 24!, the silver 24 is a little too small!
Has anyone noticed just how smooth the BBC News logo flying around in the titles is really smooth in the live rendered titles, while in the prerendered ones it isn't!

Interesting to see the big screen behind Fiona on tonight's Ten clearly showing the legend "6" either side of the report on the Diana memorial.
After fifty years of newsreading, the BBC STILL can't tell the time, or was that bit just a repeat?

Ermm, may I inquire what type of work one does at 8:15PM? As well as why you are "surfing the net" at all whilst *at work* ?
Many people browse this forum while at work, especially as many readers are in the broadcasting industry. As for why someone would be working at 20.15...ever heard of shifts?

Perhaps he's the bloke who SHOULD have changed the "6" screen to "10".

Bearing in the the Andrew Marr speculation a few papges back, thought this was interesting from MediaGuardian's Monkey column:
Quote:
Marr scotches resignation rumours
Speculation that ITN's political editor Nick Robinson is being lined up to take over from Andrew Marr after the next election have been rife over the last two weeks. So Monkey thought it only fair to ask the BBC man himself what his intentions were after the general election. "No, absolutely not true. I am not retiring after the next election." So there. You heard it here first.

How long has the World been coming from TC7? It certainly looked like a redressed Breakfast set to me last night anyway - I thought it came from a corner of the BBC World studio

Did it come from the sofa?
It does normally come from the corner of the BBC world newsroom.

I'm sorry if this has been posted before but has anyone noticed the change to the BBC News 24 Titles & Sting. The '24' is more bold and ugly.

Was it perhaps 'The World' set relit?

It was from a banana shaped desk in the middle of that arc of projectors
