However unlike NN the camera was static

The camera is controllable from the gallery with a cool little joysitck, it spins ito practically any direction, zoomes, focuses, etc. It's grat fun to play with. There's no need to have it moving though. Moving then stopping OTOH is tricky, as the track will swing when you stop.

I have noticed that sometimes the camera goes a bit wonky at TOTH! I personally prefered it when the camera zoomed up from the floor to the desk [on Breakfast] quickly - it looked nice.

The TOTH titles at 5 were very similar to the new national ones. Instead of the new 3D News 24 Globe, the national one was used. However, the new white 24 logo did still appear at the end.

BTW - I have to say I prefer the logo white and the fact there is no more orange but it will continue to aanoy me when the numbers on the 1, 6, 10 and News 24 titles change from red to white - its horrid!!!!!

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but is these new N24 titles just part of the 50 celebrations or a fixed change. Confused:

Although I like the slight change, and couldn't ever understand the orange idea in the first place, but the whole titles in general poses one question - what the hell does the news graphic department actually do?

It's a permanent change; nothing to do with the 50th anniversary.

"Fab zoom"!!!? .

Aww it *was* fab, it got right in tight perfectly from where it usually starts at TOTH! Even Phil said it was fab, though I paraphrase. Is the cam user interface a kind of "select your target shot" thing?

I think I preferred it how it was...especially the half past sting - now it dont work so well with the music especially the start.

BBC News 24 - Opening Titles
BBC News 24 - Half Past Sting

There is a half head sting in existence which has a slight crash at the start - that would possibly be better with the new visuals, especially as it starts with a dramatic shift of the ribbons. I really do like the visuals on the half head sting - it looks brilliant!

I remember when the orange titles were adopted, everyone was moaning that they didn't match the studio, they were too 2D etc. Now that they've rectified it, people still don't like it! I'm pleased with them - they look fab!

Here we go, I think this sounds better:

These titles have been used all this evening at the TOTH. I have to say the titles look much better than the orange ones. However, the globe used in the normal titles should be light red rather than dark red as it looks a bit awful (like the pre-rendered titles with the BBC News string, where the globe is light red). Apart from that, the changed titles look superb! Well done BBC!

No, it juddered all over the place, and took about 2 years to get in tight.

They were having nightmares with the titles all night. Missed the explosion at the start every time and then used the back-up 'BBC News ones rather than the headline ones.

Is it me or have they slightly modified the TOTH titles (ie 24 comes in just before ribbons close in)????

Also whilst listening to the title music it seems that its more upbeat with a bit more boom bass added into it!

Why has nobody twigged onto the fact you're a troll?

All you ever do is come into this thread and post "has anyone noticed [exactly what everyone has talked about for the last two pages]?"
