HERES ONE TO GET YOU ALL GOING IS BBC NEWS BETTER OR WORSE THAN ITV NEWS 0R SKY? :

They appeal to different audiences. They have different styles. They are all good in different ways. <yawn>

In our house we alwats put the ITV News Channel on. Not sure why we don't watch News 24, but the reason we don't watch SKY is because it's to tabloid (Not hugely suprising seeing its connections with The Sun).

I think this is discussed almost daily across the threads here at TVF.

Perhaps if you could ask a more original question, or one that had more effort put in, it would "get us all going"... otherwise, you're attempt has failed failed faaaaaiiiiillllllllleeeeeeeeeeeddddd...

I always have done and always will watch BBC News 24 and with its recent changes it is now better then ever.

BUT IT IS A POINTLESS DEBATE. "BETTER" IS MEANINGLESS. I WATCH BBC NEWS, SKY NEWS AND ITV NEWS. AS NEIL SAYS THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT, AND THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES.

WHEN PEOPLE SAY CHANNEL Z IS BEST, WHAT THEY USUALLY MEAN IS "I PREFER WATCHING THE NEWS ON THIS CHANNEL".

A DISCUSSION ALONG THOSE LINES DOES NOT GET US ANYWHERE. WE CAN FIND OUT THE SAME INFORMATION BY COMPARING THE VIEWING FIGURES.

Wow, that sounds like a clear message to me. Well, I cannot give my opinion as I am a foreigner. Here in The Netherlands we even have no 24-hour newschannel at all.

OK, we'll call it a day. This subject is too familiar to existing threads. Maybe, as suggested, a more specific question (and lack of shouting) could kick-off a new thread next time.
