In my opinion Matthew Amroliwallah is one of the best presenters on News 24 - far better than Chris Eakin, Philip Hayton (who should be working in an old fashioned gentleman's outfitters not reading the news!) and Peter Sissons.

This might have been asked or said before but does anyone know what's happened to John Terret (old N24 business presenter).

Does he still do WBR from New York? Or has he returned to Blighty?

He was one of the barable things on N24.

I wonder if Lambie-Nairn have any involvement in the re-launch, from reading through this thread, it looks like its all being done internally by various BBC departments.

Unless Lambie-Nairn are doing one aspect only, possibly the titles? And perhaps they will be producing new title sequences for BBC1 News?

Just had a thought. At the moment BBC Sport on News 24 is still coming from its usual home in the news centre. When they start building the new set (they may have already started) will the sports studio have to be vacated to be revamped as well or are they just going to be using the main news set for sport updates, or will they just do a makeover on the final weekend for the sports studio. Im just intriuged because surely if they are building a new set there would be a certain amount of noise i.e. banging of hammers or do they stop during sport updates (cant see workmen wanting to work around things like that).

I must congratulate News 24 for the brilliant idea of putting Jon Sopel in Westminster covering the Micheal Howard leadership event. Its been brilliant to watch - Jon interviewing and reviewing the events, over to Louise for the news and headlines updates. Gives the hours on end much more pace and the coverage seems more in - depth. Hope it happens more often in the future! Similar to Adrian & Mishal on World!

Although, I think they could do with a long shot of the Westminster studio and putting Howard speaking in the headlines was a bit of a disaster - one comment was "why has he stopped speaking" since there was a 10 second pause before the titles begun. Perhaps the TOTH could be pre-recorded?

I've just seen an unusual font used on a trail for Talking Movies... and the News 24 box logo was in a darker red than usual... Confused
Didn't manage to get a capture in time though Mad

Not worrying ... just saying I saw something different in the presentation. This is a forum about presentation isn't it? Rolling Eyes

Well the " Confused " emoticon would suggest you were worried about it...

Hover your cursor over Confused and I think you'll find it's "confused". Just a little bit, mind, just because it was unusual.
