Rite, well I doubt any title sequence is going to be 8 seconds long according to the "playback" 00:00:08:52 and if the 52 is frames (which if its a real playback it can't be) then why is the title sequence running at twice the normal frame-rate?

You can only read that as 8seconds, 52frames / 8mins, 52 seconds both of which sound fake to me.

It's not Ian's normal style. Plus he does at least put some effort in to making them look credible.

So he pretends to be TV insiders a lot then?

The current national news titles are eight seconds long.

the new titles will most likely revolve around people and places.
like the countdown- that must be a forgleam of what the new titles will look like.

i don't get some people...why make things up? Confused:

The point of it was to hightlight the fact that If no mods had said who I was you would have taken it as fact like sooo many of you have already with comments from 'new users' when clearly there not true.

I disagree. I believe the majority of members have the intelligence to hold some degree of scepticism (not abuse towards the 'insider' poster who may well be genuine) before they have chance to see it before their own eyes.

Chances are, titles and set details are going to be kept well under wraps. Only a certain few will be privileged, no doubt warned what to keep out of the public domain and for the rest, there's probably as much rumour and truth going around the corridors of TVC are there is here!

It is quite sad to put the time and effort into making a mock which has the sole purpose of fooling people.

Why is there such a level of secrecy around what the new and improved News 24 will look like? I don't understand why any set designs and pres must be kept under lock and key.

So that the powers that be can have the joy of coming on TVF the day the new set/titles launch and read all the comments of 'ohhh, I hate it, I want the old News 24 back' and 'well, everyone knows Sky News is better anyway'.
Or am I just a twisted, cynical old man? Wink

Im one small of a very large team which worked on the design for the new BBC News 24 look.

I think youll be disappointed with the new look - its very similar to the old look. Dont ask me what the music is like as Ive not heard it.

Dont pin your hopes on a move away from ivory and red.

Except there is a move away from ivory, as it will hardly feature on the News 24 set. New opening graphics are also being designed, why would they get a large team to re-design these if the basic colour scheme and brief remains the same? New music is being composed.

I can only comment on the opening titles, link graphics, astons and other presentational aspects, not the set.

And as I said, I dont know anything about the music as the company I work for had nothing to do with it.

The new titles are based upon a style being used in a current News24 promotion.

"the company I work for" implies that the titles etc have gone out of house... is this true?
