I think it would be fair to users that animated signatures are not used on this forum. Most animations can just as easily be summed up in a small and punchy still image.

If these arguements continue then there will be only one result, this thread joins the many others that are closed because of off topic disagreements. Please keep any arguements to private messages so that everyone who has something valid to say can still post on this topic. Not to sound like a teacher or anything!

As well pres change, will there be any changes in the scheduling of News 24?

I have heard there is. Im not sure.

Well unlike SE's PC mine doesn't shudder but the bandwidth sucking is considerable due to the animated sigs. Please get rid of them - they are advised against and are pointless.

OK, please let's not ruin a decent thread, which has managed to keep on track for 60 pages (that must be a record ). As we know, the N24 relaunch discussions will be continuing for some time to come, and so it would be nice if this thread could survive. As James has said, it is best not to use animated signatures. If you have a problem with a particular user's signature, please contact them by private message or e-mail to discuss it with them - please do not do it on the public forum. If the signatures are causing the forum to load slowly for you, it is possible to turn them off in your profile - this will speed up the loading time. If you don't get anywhere with the user privately, then contact one of the moderators.

Hopefully this will lead to the topic getting back on track...?

I heard a while back, to my disappointment, that there wont be any changes presenters wise, but can we expect any changes with scheduling?

I personally think that scheduling changes will be minimal. I would imagine that to begin with it may be the evening where the biggest changes are, for example 9-10PM maybe a seperate sort of programme in the way the BBC 4 News is on BBC World. This is purely speculation.
