By the way, where did Breakfast come from this morning? Was it TC10 or was it another location?

Breakfast came from the CSO News 24 studio.

Maybe this is "off-message" for this thread but I thought I would point out that it would be a really nice OPPORTUNITY for BBC News to allow the regions alittle more self-identity.

I have just been looking through my archive of old BBC regional news intros (how sad for a Sat morning or wot) and they have at least an individuality about them.......even though all the Northern ones - Leeds, Manchester, & Newcstle - used basically the same theme music for 20 years.

They can all follow the corporate pattern, whatever colours they choose (latest I belive is red & chrome) which is all that BBC bosses want.

Now that "ITV plc" is about to destroy regional commercial television, why can't the BBC use the opportunity of this rebrand to reinforce its commitment to regional TV and bring back a more individual element to our "6.30pm" programmes.

When they say David's theme was rejected, it might be that David is to produce various themes, and the BBC will pick one they like.

Dont think this is a pre-cursor to the ousting of the BBC Corporate News themes...

Red and blue are Sky's colours, and have been for years now. I don't think they'd dare.

RED AND BLUE are NOT the new colours for BBC News 24 or any other BBC news branding! Blue is only used in reporting scotland. They have diched the Blue look if any body has noticed. The blue look was before the 1999 relaunch! the colours will be Red and cream with chrome on the set.

I thought they were ditching the cream?

If they're not, they should - white/chrome looks much better IMO.

they are. It is in one of my posts about the new colour scheme. On set it is china red and chrome. There might be some cream but it is not deffinate.
