I did not think it would be CSO if they were moving parts of the old set to TC11/TC10 for the 6 weeks!

I too thought they were moving the whole set but it looks like it was just the desk and probably some of the gallery equipment. May be they are still building the old set behind the CSO screen? (i doubt that very much).

I guess some bits of the set would be too hard to move convincingly, but I do think there's a danger that a CSO set for 6 weeks is going to:
a) look more obviously 'wrong'
b) actually go wrong

Still, maybe I should have more faith.

They are not!
It was all gallery/technical kit...apart from the desk! pretty impressive considering they did that all in one day (sat) to enable world to pilot it today! But rest assured Joanna and Adrian (yep - Adrian!) will be in TC10 bright and early at 9am tomorrow... enjoy it!

is it going to be a CSO studio for 6 weeks?

I guess so. I think weekends are coming from N9 though or at least next weekend is.

Who says so?

N24 will come from TC10 from tomorrow - till relaunch - with the possible exception of one more 'Joint Weekend' the weekend before re-launch!

Is six weeks still an accurate time scale?

Just one point to mention:

Earlier posts were seeming baffled by the fact that News 24 were going to be out of their home for a whole 6 weeks - why that long?

Well remember how long Sky News were in their virtual studio in 2001 - some months. And, if you consider how the studio looked before and how it looks now, it's easy to see why!

I think we can expect major structual changes!

Looks like we have an influx of people (possibly) connected with News 24 in some way. Welcome - will any of you be able to give us some updates as the work goes along? (a bit like over in the five news thread).
