What confused me is why BBC World is getting all the crap, having to move into a fake studio to cater for News 24, News 24 is only UK, BBC World is the world... why not stick News 24 in a fake News 24 Studio, leaving BBC One and BBC World alone?

Any real reason for this?

World is always the lowest in the pecking order in terms of BBC News. despite having the largest viewing figures.

And the best presentation, the best presenters, and the best reputaton Wink

I don't see how Darren Jordan and Madame Raworth compare to Nik Gowing, Adrian Finighan, Martine Dennis etc. There are some good presenters left in BBC News in the UK, but not very many!

Okay, I'm confused now. Where was the 20.15 sport update done from? It looked like the 2nd set (there was a long shot at the end of the bulletin) - does that mean it's up and running again or have I missed something?

Interesting, it may be low priority at BBC News, but ends up with the best BBC News graphics and presentation.

The sports set is the same as the second set except the desk is round rather than oval. The second set and the sports set were also quite similar before they turned red (They both had little screens going up the wall), except the second set had a plasma.

Oh dear! Embarassed I'd always assumed that the sport updates were done from the 2nd set - hadn't realised they were separate.
Now, showing my total ignorance, when did Sport change from the old 'beige and red with monitors down one side' look? (which just shows that me seeing tonight's sport update was the exception rather than the rule).

So where's the Sport set then? And is that part of the move?

IIRC the sports cupboard is not near the main set and second set, since when the air con leaked and that had to be evacuated, the sports set was still in use. So far the sports set has been staying the same.

AFAIK the sports set is a small little nook on the top level of the News centre balcony between News 24's old set and BBC World's set...
