I kind of dont understand why World News are going to use the temp News 24 studio. Surely it should be priority to get News 24 back into its own temp studio as soon as possible to minimise viewer confusion. Some people will have tuned into News 24 this weekend and thought that N9 is a new set for News 24, boy will they be dissapointed tomorrow. Are people from the News centre going to take it in turns to go to TC10 and walk behind the set a couple of times to make it look like its still in the News Centre?

I don't see why the viewer will be disapointed. As long as they're getting the news and the backdrop is appropriate then there isn't an immediate worry.

The only thing that could hinder the viewer is the change in how the graphics operate with N24 having the more advanced technology suddenly jumping to Worlds less advanced systems. Not because of a different backdrop.

5 o'clock, and BBC One is getting priority in the National studio, Peter Sissons is in the World newsroom on News 24, and on World, Anita McNaught is in front of a rather dodgy CSO backdrop of the newsroom, in 4:3.

World seem to be in the temp studio in TC10 now. I'll get some images when the bulletin is over, but there are a few points to note:

1) The lighting is quite poor
2) It's in 4:3 rather than 14:9, thus making the graphics look huge.
3) There's a fake BBC World backdrop.

Haven't seen any aerial shots - they just faded from the titles to Anita McNaught.

I'm pretty sure that it's CSO'ed, itsrobert. There are blue tinges around the astons, and they're using a split-screen for 2-way interviews (which was clearly not designed for 4:3 use, incidentally)

Could it possibly be that BBC World use the temp set for 6 weeks as they only ever broadcast in 4:3 so no one would no the difference. Then, News 24 use BBC Worlds normal set for that 6 week period, broadcasting in full 16:9. The national news set is then unaffected.
This would make sense to me.

ooh, definitely CSO'ed. There was a rather odd looking side shot at the end of the bulletin, which made it look like they were in a blue room with a regular BBC News desk.

Does this mean the end of the joint 30 minute bullletins from the world studio. I'm waiting to see Phil Hayton come back but its been awful Wilcox and his greasy hair. Shocked

As if anyone tuning in will be confused by seeing them on a diffrent set - if of course they even notice. They might be a bit curious, but in no way confused.
