A strange mix of astons they've been using - from 17:00 - 18:00 the World ones were in use, and it seems that from 18:00 to 19:00 they've reverted to the old News 24 ones where the black bottom part of each aston is stretched from the bottom of the screen...

That'll probably be the difference between simulcasting and not.

Between 17:00 and 17:30 it would have needed to be simulcasted on World and News 24 as BBC World had news, but the BBC One studio was in use.

For 18:00, BBC World could use the BBC One studio so the stuff coming out of the BBC World studio would be for News 24 only.

Mike Embley and Anna Jones now - and they have changed the camera angle, similar to the capture from the Iraq war (Mikes at the front though! Wink ) It looks a lot better now. Shame theres no Chris Lowe! It would have been good to see Adrian swap with Mike!

So did anyone watch Sport Today?, they made nice use of the national set, they had the running man as the backdrop, and there were more camera angles as well.

Well because World are hogging the BBC1 newsroom, the news report on the football is coming from the news centre itself!

Interesting there's a sport update on BBC One now with Matthew Amwhatsit, coming from inside the news centre and using unusal split-screen graphics (are they the daytime ones?).

There won't be a problem with BBC World using N6 tomorrow as they will be using the temp studio setup which is for BBC News 24 from late tomorrow for the rest of the day.
