No changes on BBC World yet - though they are still broadcasting from the BBC ONE news studio.

Is it my withering eyes or are the Breakfast clock and BBC NEWS graphic slightly smaller?

Maybe its the effects of being deprived from a BBC clock for so long.

Sorry to point out things but there's also a grey semi-transparent bar appearing along the whole line of the screen at the same height of the live location bar.( not the [LIVE] block)

It is clear, the new BBC News 24 DOG doesnt fit Breakfast's graphics, but they can remove the DOG during this, however the DOG now doesnt fit with the Weather Graphics. This may not be a big issue, but I was wondering if any tweaks are being made to the Weather Graphics used by BBC News 24, similar to how BBC LDN has its own weather graphics.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but at 5am they played what seems to be a new countdown - ending with a shot of the newscentre. It had shots similar to (if not the same as) the regional news titles - people running into the water, the Eden Project I think all in Time Lapse. Shame there was no corporate design to it - rings or pulses etc. I'm sure i saw the bullring! Maybe that wouldn't fit into the grander plan. The font for the countdown numbers has changed and moved to the left hand side - this is if i saw one of the new countdowns.

EDIT: It has! MartinDTAnderson & Lee Stanley have stayed up all night on vigil.

I should say that by 9am I'll only have been up all night an hour or so longer than I usually would be on a Monday morning!

Whatever about the dog, I do like the new clock. It's a nice change after 4 years of the same box.

Having seen the new countdown, won't this mean the dog will have to fade out when the clock does so as not to mask the numbers of the countdown?

If you read back a few pages it's been said many times that new equipment controlling the DOG will make sure this happens automatically.

Ah right sorry, I did read all the pages, honest!

I knew that was the plan for the clock but didn't know about the dog too.

But they are trying out some very nicely animated new astons in N9 at the moment.
