Interestingly that is Julia Caesar in the cap who can normally be seen at the London Stock Exchange presenting on BBC World, it was said that she would be moving to N24 after the relaunch.
The white panelling is between the mirror and the red wall with the monitors. The angle might have been so that it captured a bit of the white panelling on the right, and the mirror on the left - that might have been reflecting a bit of red wall from the other side of the newsroom? That's the only explanation I can think of.
Feel free to call me dense , but on this shot of the studio from The Continuity Booth (which is, I presume, out of date, as it doesn't look like the right desk):

fair point, the bulk of the equitment will probley be moved today, but way in gods name are the presenters so confused, this is N24, this is BBC News, which one? all it would take is for someone to difine if this is N24, or a simpular cast on BBC World.
None of the bulletins so far today have been joint bulletins - News 24 has been broadcasting its own service from N9, while BBC World has been doing its own thing in TC10. So, I'm not sure why the presenters are confused about what they're doing.
Have you got any captures of World coming from TC10?
