NO. Power is fully restored to the news centre.

However you can expect a game of musical chairs as the networks move around Television Centre over the next few days

Do you mean BBC World will be in TC10 while News 24 use World's set? Confused

The "expert" on the 10:00 news just said that bacteria are the most basic life form on earth - and all this time I thought it was virus's (virii ?).

Viruses aren't technically a lifeform, as they are basically just a bunch of proteins, and cannot multiply by themselves (they rely on cells to make them, they are obligatory intracellular parasites ). Also, viruses are made up of either DNA, or RNA, but not both; unlike cellular-based lifeforms.

Anyway, back to the topic in hand...

They use the BBC National studio until Monday morning - 9am. Am I on the right lines? Its how it all began almost 8 weeks ago. Crikey - that long?

I would reason that to the fact that most people cast their votes at the beginning of this thread, at a time of pure speculation, and the general idea given was that News 24 would relaunce either in early Autumn or early 2004, in fact I severly doubt that the number of votes cast in that poll has changed in the last month or more Confused

According to the BBC News 24 website it looks like Anna Jones and Joanna Gosling have swapped places which could explain why Anna has been presenting this week:

Anna's profile

Joanna's Profile

Razz

Also, Carrie Gracie's presenting with Phil on Fridays and Liz Pike is with Chris Eakin on Fridays. Very Happy

But if you look at when these pages were last updated you'll see that it was over 2 years ago (May 2001 for both of them)
