Please excuse me for not reading through the 222 pages of info to find the answer, but...
Are any new graphics/hints of new graphics being used on News 24 yet?


Appears to be Austrailia Direct and Hardtalk for astons- right aligned and leaving space for a ticker to run underneath ("think evolution not revolution"- NickyS), and the new look globe graphics- sea is black and countries are an orangey-red

We're nearly at the point of no return for the relaunch- N24 moves into World (I presume) tonight...all the equipment is moved from TC10 back to the brand spanking new studio over the weekend. I wager that if N24 are in World tomorrow morning, there is no turning back and the relaunch will happen at 9am Monday morning

Also, Carrie Gracie's presenting with Phil on Fridays and Liz Pike is with Chris Eakin on Fridays. Very Happy

What are the presenters patterns now? In all honesty I've not seen News 24 for a long while (the pains of not having digital TV at present)

yes, also says phil doesnt do the Sunday afternoon anymore, and Louise Munchings is the permanent 7 - 10.30 presenter.

It's a shame - I thought Chris Lowe and Anna Jones were an excellent double-act.

Why on earth can't they put Peter Dobbie's profile on there? In fact, why can't they put all their main presenters on there? (Deborah, Louise, Tim, Susan etc)

Looks a bit elitist having only a few of them on - especially as they have Geeta Guru thingy's and she only presents once in a long while! (Usually when Jane Hill's sunning herself)

I see Philippa Thomas is no longer a presenter - has Drive's Louise Minchin replaced her full time? She and Jon do work well together.

Yeah they were, better than Joanna will be with Chris probably. Doubt were see any more presenter changes apart from perhaps at the weekend but who knows! Razz Very Happy

Yeah Phillipa was only filling in while Louise finished her contract at Drive Time.

It's probably got to do with Joanna having a small baby to look after and the pressures of motherhood and work make it not that easy. Apparently bringing up babies is not that easy. Well I never...

Or it might just be that Anna wanted a change.

It is a bit strange that a lot of the mainstream presenters don`t have profiles on the website. This might change if the website is updated to fit in with the new look in the near future?

I think Philippa Thomas was only ever just filling in for Louise Minchin. When Jon Sopel joined News 24, and Carrie Gracie moved away from Mon-Thurs evenings, Louise Minchin was on secondment to Five Live Drive, filling in for Jane Garvey who I think was on maternity leave. Once Jane Garvey came back to Drive, Louise joined Jon on Mon-Thurs evenings.

These were launched Last year following the launch of BBC Four News.

And I wonder what might be the next BBC News output to get a new look in the early new year Laughing Wink

those BBC News 24 website presenter profiles are WAY out of date. Phillipa Thomas aint been with Sopel for ages now and is roving reporter. Croxall hasn't been seen for months. Her slot is taken up by a combination of the wonderful Gillian Ni Cheallaigh (who should be made permanent for aesthetic reasons) Laughing deborah mckenzie / The Dobbster / and Wilcox; althouh this week, adrian finnigan popped in.

Dont take any notice of anything the profiles say... they are just so out of date... such flux...
