We've seen the back of the beige pretty much, and it's now time to get rid of the red. I know that won't happen this time around, but I hope that the red they use will be less garish.
It was mentioned by Jaron some time earlier / yesterday [or was it NickyS *scratches head*] that there would be a further news24 / world simulcast tonight from around 11:00pm GMT because of last night's delay in repairing the damage caused.
I thought that earilier on in this thread it was discussed that the globe graphics would have a black background and red countries, rather than the old blue sea/background and orange countries.
Although it is very similar, I'd thought that i'd spied this in use tonight - simply because of the colour change...
the colours are differnt than wat i have seen normally. on BREAKFAST this morning at the 08.35 comming up menu the gold had been taken out, animated with small squares forming the picture window and the gold had been removed just leaving white background, how long has this been like that?
did ABC world news tonight happen yesterday on N24??? (aint seen that programme in yonks) its on sky epg to show tonight but with the recent problems who knows?!?!?
They showed a repeat of... you guessed it... HardTalk instead.
I got this today on the NewsNight email newsletter:
Quote:
In tonight's programme, well, perhaps tolerance and compassion, who
knows? But we are assuming that the BBC power supplies will be working,
which is a bit of a dangerous assumption these days. There were dire
problems last night in the aftermath of the power cut on Friday which
wreaked havoc on Radio 4, Radio 5 and News24. The power cuts in BBC
Television Centre have caused great amusement here in the Newsnight
Presenters' Padded Cell because we were told that the reason for the
cuts has been a fault affecting what the BBC engineers call "the UPS".
And what does "The UPS" stand for? The UPS and DOWNS of life? No. It
stands for the Uninterruptible Power Supply. I am not making this up.
Well, I couldn't could I?
