I suppose to those who only read the article there (not been on any forums) it appears strange that a relaunch was announced, didnt happen and nobody explained it! I suppose the BBC have no idea when this relaunch will be?

I think it was Aston who a few pages back said that people had rung up the BBC to complain that the new look N24 "looked the same". It was also featured in the Guardian last Monday saying "BBC news 24 relaunches this week...", 4 days after the relaunch was put back a week. Confusing for those who haven't read all 200+ pages of this thread Wink Wait a minute...

BBC World / N24 just did a "globe zoom in" before a report, and I think the new globe graphics were used. The sea and background was black and the countries were red...

Unfortunately, the end frame I captured does look similar to other maps.
It looked very different before the "globe zoom in".

In a report afterwards, they used a map of the UK, and that was the standard blue sea an orange UK.

BBC News have had a globe zoom in for a few years at least, haven't they? I'm sure I've seen it used quite a lot, although I can't remember if it's on the national news, News 24, or both. Confused

i am sure N24 did more ao in the early days of the lambie-nairin era (red/beige) but i have not seen it recently only on world is it used regularly. i think n24 and the nationals just use a still graphic in most cases.

i could be wrong though?!?

Yes they've had a globe that starts on the UK and then rotates to wherever the news is coming from.

And I really hope that we get something more original than that in Monday's new titles.
