I REALLY hate HTV West posted:
The Guardian clearly has an agenda against the BBC, in my view ...

I think that the phrase I heard used was "a critical friend". Shocked

ooh look!

From BBC ONE during six-o-clock news, pressed Red and then selected "News Multiscreen"...

The "please wait" has gone orange with a transparent-white overlay at the top of the screen...

That Freeview or Sky?

Mos, I have noticed also that the Multiscreen "wait" caption (on SKY) has changed to orange with a static images turning squares. This could be just a sign of the change for BBCi which uses squares at the moment for their News "bumpers" on the headline/sport/entertainment loops. It looks as though the new look introduction is quite random or disorganised!

i lent my capture card out... damn.

at last that proves i'm not going that mad

i like the motion in the "in" graphic, not sure about the "out" one.

It all looks a bit more "BBC" too, I think...

BTW It's a 4:3 image, the widescreen signal is removed when the "please wait" appears...

Does this mean that the multiscreen loops are going to change first, as a test?

Well the power is due to be fully restored to TVC overnight, so look for changes to News24 output from 11pm tonight

Intriguing- are you suggesting that there is more to this restored power than just simulcasting with BBC World for a bit?

Could it be a pilot on air prehaps??

Catch that one while you can ... four new countdown's from the re-launch

Intriguing comment #2: does this mean that the "people" countdowns are being

a) replaced with something completely different
b) replaced with four new people countdowns
b) expanded with four new people countdowns
?

You BBC News staff are such a tease!

I think news pilots are always for management eyes only- there is absolutely no reason why they would put it out on air just days before the full official relaunch.

if they have had to put out BBC World on N24 and run the main BBC news from a CSO studio, perhaps they now think that viewers have had so much disruption that they might as well start moving over to the new N24 carefully.

We'll probably have World for a bit, that's all.
