The TV Room
I've added some images and video clips to TV Room (see site front page for link).

One of the video clips covers what happened on NEWS 24 a few seconds after the screen went blank: the newsreaders carried on for a further two minutes...

just managed to catch Alistair Yates on BBCW. The newsroom has gone dark again. I watched the 12 am GMT bulletin with Mishal and at that time, the newsroom looked fine.

Goodness how many pages back someone said that the normal power was going to be restored tonight.

Most things are off while they phase it back on slowly to prevent surges etc. Might be a planned rather than a last minute thing.

I see the testcard is now (04.11) on BBC One and Two with BBC NEWS 24 frozen on a still of a report....

Looks like all services have gone down?

04.20 BBC News 24 back on as if nothing happened while BBC One and Two still showing testcard.

Perhaps BBC World wasn't affected so there was no mention on air when BBC News 24 rejoined.

It's scheduled maintenance on BBC One and Two, as mentioned in this thread (from page 3); they're doing the same as they did last night.

05:00 The World Today starts . . . the BBC N24 DOG and clock are back!

...but BBC One are taking the DOG/clock-less feed of News 24.

Am I right in thinking there are three versions of News 24 available to BBC One and Two?
Arrow one with a DOG and clock (that's used overnight on BBC One)
Arrow one with just a clock (that's used for weekend Breakfast)
Arrow one with neither DOG or clock (that's used for other simulcasts e.g. BBC News Specials)

No, there are two versions:

The feed with DOG and clock - used as the overnight sustainer, and a clean feed with neither of the above.

Programmes like Breakfast and Weekend 24 which appear with clock but no DOG are TXd with the studio as source, as opposed to N24 output. The clock is inserted in the studio gallery.

Thank God you said "clock"! Laughing

(Sorry, just a bit of early morning humour!)
