World didn't take Australia Direct, and instead showed Asia Business Report and World Business Report (both 15mins), so when she did the link for News 24 world were still in World Business Report.

Ooh right - someone said they took Australia Direct too.

Is she presenting World as well? Shifting between junctions on both channels, or what, exactly?

Isn't the 2nd half of most hours on World not from the news studio?

World would have taken an ad break in the middle of Australia Direct and gone straight to their wetaher after the end of the programme.

Weather is only usually played once an hour - at *25. At the end of Australia Direct we had a 5 minute breakfiller, then straight to the news as usual.

It's a conspiracy, I tells ya! A conspiracy!

Rupert Murdoch was on the grassy knoll in the Blue Peter garden!

They're now back to a joint broadcast.

You're watching the Asian feed of BBC World, which carries Asia Business Report; the rest of the world had Australia Direct.

Is that so? the last time I've watched World at uni (so in daytime) there's been Business Weather at :55.

Aah - business weather has only just been introduced (it existed last winter too, but then disappeared!) - that's just a filler featuring several European cities - the main weather forecasts are once an hour unless they have a lot of time to fill.

Business Weather is a sponsored 'feature' that sits over the Dynamic Junctions on the Europe feed as far as I know. It is not the 'official' channel weather.

I think they need to have power restored and stable by tomorrow night if there is any hope of the N24 relaunch on Monday. The pilot broadcasts have to be available to take place this weekend, with full functionality.

I'm pretty sure they would be desperate to relaunch on Monday...they probably can afford to wait one more week until Dec 15th, but any further than that and it will surely have to wait until January.

As they are just pilot broadcasts, couldn't they just have a few generators whirring away in the background?

Or would they need to plonk a few extra pounds on the license fee to afford these?
