I reckon they should close TV Centre for a few days and get some electricians in... move everything down to Birmingham, but that would probably cause a lot of bother.

Perhaps, but I don't think it would be feasible at all with all the equipment they have, and also the fact that TVC probably has miles of wiring inside it that would take ages to check, not something that could be done in a week.

Not sure how old much of it is, but as TVC is a listed building, you can probably guess how old some of it is.

I wouldn't be suprised, but if this is as serious as the one last week then it could be postponed again, if it has to come to that they should wait until after Christmas, as I don't know why but it would feel dodgy giving a news channel a brand new look so close to Christmas, the studio probably being filled with Christmas trees too.

I wonder if they recorded a CSO with a Christmas tree in the background, just in case the relaunch does get delayed into Christmas or beyond?

Or they could just put a Christmas tree in the temporary studio....

I know one thing that might happen... All national and regional news bulletins will be replaced by double episodes of "Dad's Army"! Oh Joy! Very Happy

Don't tell him, Pike! (or as we're talking about the BBC, should that be "Dyke"? Laughing)

With a guy in the background, wearing a Santa hat, walking from left to right every 5 minutes?

Unlikely - it would, no doubt, have sufficient reflective decorations to make it half invisible! Very Happy

No, no, no! They'll do the same that they did with Jonathan Ross's poppy and superimpose one...

From what he's told me, it's Jaron (who is also the real santa don't you know!)
