I think a bit of black to go with it, and it will be perfect!
Where is that studio?
Its in the Business Unit on the 4th Floor. Right next to the Bar!!! Well I always said most of the business peeps needed that! Shola's always in there with a sweet sherry!!!

Isn't that the place where they record the interactive business loop?
Well remember when they re-vamped the National studio, all they did was use a fake chormakey'd one for a few days and then into the new one, they'll probably do the same for news 24.
/me keeps eyes peeled for green tinge on the desk.
But is it really pratical to use a chromakey set for over 12 hours a day (overnights are coming from BBC World while News 24 are in a temp studio I think its been said somewhere). The old set being moved to a temp studio is much better (presume the first sign of this will be a joint weekend with BBC World while the set is moved).
It could be that Breakfast might come from studio 7 at weekends like it does during the week, rather than use the temp studio.
Also, does anyone know if News 24 will continue to use it's own gallery, or is it going to use one nearer the temporary studio?
Sky ran their entire operation from their chromakey virtual studio for weeks and weeks when they were rebuilding the main studio set in the newsroom. (Wasn't it months?) They also rebuilt the gallery over this time I believe.
ISTR that Sky just transplanted, or duplicated, their news desk, with the rest of the set backdrops CSO/virtual. If this works then there is no reason it shouldn't work for 18 hours a day... You just have to warn presenters and any studio guests not to wear green or blue (depending on the chromakey colour used)
I would imagine that if the BBC were to go down the CSO route they would need a desk, and not much more, in the same way they CSOed the weekend bulletins for the BBC One studio relaunches on the past two occasions.
Breakfast couldn't come from the main Breakfast studio on Sunday, unless Breakfast with Frost were moved to a different studio, as Frost comes from the same studio as Breakfast (and I doubt there is space for both programmes at once - let alone rehearsal time etc.) Mounting Frost from a second studio, and crewing the main Breakfast studio at weekends would be VERY expensive...
I guess the only way we'll find out is by watching.
I should think that Breakfast will come from the BBC World set during that weekend and World will take 3 summaries from the national news CSO set. Its quite clear that they can't use their own set for the time period, and I doubt we will see Weekend 24 "from the studios of BBC World, being a special joint service for all 3 channels!"

Last time, during Breakfast, World did three full bulletins from a CSO set with one camera angle! Rather than plasma shots, I think they used split screen graphics.

One camera angle sounds like you're everyday BBC News 24 bulletin. The 2300 seems the worst one with Carrie Gracie, one camera shot, no long shot and no live interviews or set shots!
BTW; Did they still have the audacity to call it "The BBC World Newsroom"?

Yes, I think they did call it the newsroom, as usual, as there was a CSO background of the real BBC World newsroom. Most viewers wouldn't even notice the difference, apart from the green tinge around the outline of the presenter!
