Is Ed the Duck and The Butler going to be presenting?

Ed: Over to you Butler (translated from Quack)

Butler:

You Guessed.

Anyway I don't know if it will still happen given the ongoing problems with power supplies in TVC. Maybe worth a look in case though.

Jon just mentioned that because of 'major' power problems, we can't get sport.....
Quite worrying since it's almost a week now.
Side note - Jon and that woman (can you guess I don't know her name) thankfully at least have some banter going between them! That's all this channel needs instead of red plastic! Razz

It's a good thing News 24 are still out of Stage VI I think, as the sport set seems to be out of action as a result of the power cut that also knocked BBC Four News off-air.

There have been problems on BBC Four News, BBC World, BBC Three and Five Live too...see this thread

Just wondering (don't know if this has been mentioned before) but...

Will the giant news screens at Waterloo, Victoria etc change on Monday? They do, after all have the News 24 titles on them.

I'm still waiting for something to disrupt the CSO background on News 24... ever since they started using it I've been wondering whether anything unfortunate would happen to it on-air.

All of a sudden the background to the presenters will go all blue, and they'll shout - "oh no we've been had, it's a fake studio - could you tell ? !!"

Didn't I read somewhere in this thread that full power was due to be restored today? I might have just imagined it but, if so, perhaps tonight's power problems are something to do with the change-over...

Well two months in a CSO studio and it looks like there havent been any major problems.. I dont recall a blue background that I saw a fair few times when Sky News were relaunching in the past.

It's been pretty good really. When you consider all the technical problems that News 24 has from time to time, when the titles and headlines ****-up because a server threw a wobbly, there have been no incidents with the CSO failing despite being in use 16 hours a day for over six weeks.

Having just said that, the screen has gone blank!!

Where has the N24 picture gone?
I've only got sound.

They're making constant references to it.....
Going to Hardtalk......

Still no picture...

Big problems!!! Razz
