I think the whole point is to read this thread - anything relevant that's known (and there doesn't seem to be much beyond the N24 temporary change of locations) is in the thread.

Give him a chance, he's only on his 9th post!
Personally, I find messages patronising other members like that much more irritating than those from people who happen to duplicate something already mentioned because they've got too much of a life to trawl through the entire forum before posting.
If you knew anything about me, you would know that my posts are frequently tongue in cheek - as is evident from the first part of the post.

That wasn't patronising - I was merely telling the guy what the state of play was. If you'd like me to patronising, I'm sure I could start...
Would no-one be interested in re-introducing the BBC News theme from the 1993-1999 era, I quite liked it.
Yes - I did like that music very much - very regal and orchestral! The Nine O Clock News and Six O Clock News were much better in those days then they are now. Much more experienced presenters - Anna Ford, Martyn Lewis, Moira Stuart, Andrew Harvey, Jill Dando, Justin Webb compared to Raworth and Alligator with Fergus Walsh at the screen. There was also no dodgy light hearted stories that really do not matter. The Nine O Clock News was also much more glorious - with Sissons and Buerk instead of the truely awful Edwards and totally crap Bruce.
Each bulletin had different music, the background even changed colour depending on the time of day! BBC News was a lot better then, than it is now.
The BBC news was alot better back in the nineties. The only thing was the studio backdrop. During this period BBC World used this studio aswell with a backdrop of the BBC World Newsroom, it was better than the blue. I think that when BBC 1 News used this studio they should have had a backdrop of their newsroom. The orchestral music did sound alot more authoritive and newslike, better than that rubbish and ANNOYING theme that they have just now!

The six O'Clock News with Sue Lawley and Nick Witchell knocked spots of the patronising drival we get today
Back to the changes going on at News 24 - there seems to be a new dark red panel across the bottom of the fake gallery at the back - is this something to do with the changes in the newsroom?

Yes I noticed this. It seems to be more of a window now than a garage door!
