Neither do I Re-it-er-ate, but I guess they are thinking of News 24 viewers first.

Yeah thats what I thought - but how many normal News 24 viewers see, care or even know about BBC World and what theyre doing!

I presume the actual physical studio at BBC World isn't changing - just the graphiccs & titles?

As I've said many times before N24 is far more important to BBC bosses than World- frankly as it should be.

Hello everybody,

So nothing is going to change on BBC World? (Not that I can receive World, but it should be in the nearby future.)

Its rumoured that BBC World will adopt the new graphics (or similar) due to launch on BBC News 24, for BBC World News...

The perceived importance of BBC programmes is directly related to the numbers of managers watching in Televising Centre and has nothing to do with the global reach of the channel.

Ah so that explains why Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow was so important that it moved from the CBBC channel to have a similcast on BBC 1 as well.

Prehaps I am going a bit off-topic. Razz

Has anyone noticed through the Sport bulletin on News 24 that a (mobile?) phone has been ringing throughout?

It took ages to startup the software, so the clip is only about 1 second long and I missed most of the ringing. I thought it was my imagination at first, but upon closer inspection it was coming from the TV.

Sadly this wasn't a rousing rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" being belted out over the airwaves though (unlike last time) Laughing

This is what we'll all be looking like by the time news 24 relaunches:

will the new graphics, logo and music be on the 1, 6 and 10 o'clock news on BBC1?

If it is on 1,6,10 it wont match the white/red logo on the plasmas in the studios.

They are of the same style, though, if you look closely. My guess is that the versions we have been seeing on the 1/6/10 are "beta" versions if you like, of that style - hence why we haven't seen them as titles yet - and since then the look has been evolved further by the design team. When the new titles are put into use on the National they'll surely look far slicker and more like the new News 24 ones than these do, but just because the N24 ones have a black background doesn't mean the National ones can't be white and of the same style. I imagine the reason they've been using them on the screens in the National studio was because the cream didn't go with the rest of the studio.
