Would it be at all possible then that The World Today and European Breakfast on BBC World on 9/12 might be coming from the temporary CSO studio that N24's been using so that the necessary adjustments can be made at BBC World?

Yes, it might be the case that the European Breakfast comes from TC10, but I would have thought that they'd use the 4 overnight hours instead. News 24 in TC10 could hold the fort, while World has downtime to make adjustments. I'm sure they'd still have the current titles on the machines for the bulletins prior to 9am, as I've seen the 2000 titles played once or twice by mistake in the past. Similarly, a few weeks ago News 24 played out the 2000 Breakfast closing music - so it does still exist!

hahah yes - Lyse will be in spin!!!

OMG - Imagine if Lyse moved to Channel 4 News and spun for us. How *FAB* that would be.

She wouldn't be another Samira but she'd be better than Sarah Whatsherface.

No way!!! leave Lyse where she is, I really like the way she presents the news with that funny accent of hers. Besides, you have BIG MOIRA , we don't.

Nice research in the Daily Mail today. In their report on the BBC power cut they say BBC Television Center is in Wood Green , North London.
Odd it as it was on Wood LANE in WEST London when i went by this morning where its allways been.....

Although before it moved there it was in Wood Green (Alexandra Palace, overlooking Wood Green to be precise)

Perhaps the author just had an old map?

BBC Radio Leeds drivetime apologised for talking to a correspondent on the phone rather than the usual high quality line and said it was due to a power cut at Broadcasting House

I notice that someone has been playing about with the backdrop in the national studio. Watch the news at 5.15pm and you'll see what I mean. There seems to be an extra curvy open space on one of the screens. Maybe they have been trying out a new backdrop.(hopefully, i hate that fake virtual one.)

I cant see anything different.

They seem to have sorted it, but the far right screen had an extra circle thing which looked out of place because it wasn't joined on to anything.

Relaunching with The World Today would be a good idea especially if Breakfast are also adopting a new design for their titles (don't seem to resemble much on their new set) as the new look BBC News would relaunch over all services in one go (as TWT is shown on BBC One). This would also give the option of BBC World's studio being free prior to 0500 GMT if TC10 is used for overnights.

Personally I would say a relaunch at 5am would be the best one if Breakfast are getting new titles however if they're not changing 9am is adequate as there's no delay (until 0600 the next day) to wait for Breakfast's new titles.

I think that Breakfast are getting new titles because they used a red colour by accident in their titles when they were telling us what is coming up later on the programme.

Well at the beginning of this whole studio shuffle, the CSO set was used to create a virtual BBC World studio instead of the News 24 one, so it is probable.

The World Today is going to look weird that day, they won't be able to do their fancy zoom in shot etc

yeh - how will they do the World Business Report? They couldnt hand over to any of the business / sports news as normal, and theres no screens to use either!

I dont understand why World just doesnt restart at 5am.

Changing tropic slightly... ...it would be nice if BBC advertise the fact the that BBC News was changing on TV, even if it should uses a snapshot of the new idents like as they did when the idents last changed.

It's only speculation that World will come from TC10 from 5am - I personally think it will come from N9 as usual, and that the downtime will occur for four hours overnight - that would make more sense. Can anyone clarify what will happen?

TELEVISION - I've seen that red bit before on Breakfast, and it's just the start of the sting by the looks of it.
