Phil's just handed over to Darren Jordon and Carrie Gracie from Westminster. I presume this is what the One O'clock News will look like, given that Darren is there?

Well it depends if the services aren't back up by then but you cant have the One and News 24 on at the same time from the same place... Razz

Well it could happen - "This is BBC News" - presented by the two of them, going out on both channels.

would this power cut have affected the area where the news is gathered and produced?

Would all news gathereed be coming from the Westminister studio or would the news centre still be operational?

Is the 1/6/10 studio in the News Centre (the bit effected by the cut) or the main part of TVC?

Well behind the Guardian, but the BBC has managed to report on their own problems

And for some reason, there is a link on the main "BBC News - Entertainment" page into the Tuesday, 20 June, 2000, 22:25 GMT 23:25 UK - Power cut hits BBC TV and radio (yes 20 June 2000) story.

I wound imagine that the newsrooms in TVC would have been affected, as News 24's, World's and BBC 1's are all close to the studios, I presume they too will have been affected. Interesting how World has managed to put itself back on air, and News 24 hasn't!

Why not? Didn't they have to do this last time there was a major power cut and everything came from Westminster.

I note the clip they've just used about the caeserian section story had the top of the Breakfast DOG on it; they obviously haven't got the clean version...

Also, this (and some other clips) have a big black bar at the bottom. Hmmm.
