Because LDN and Manchester won't have the packages to play in.

Why the CA couldn't have read a radio bulletin over a caption is another matter.

It's not part of the contingency deal ! And for a 60" bulletin it's a bit of an extravagance.

Yeah I didnt think of that.... even over a still of an ident (capoiera?) would have been acceptable. Talking of which, I havent seen capoiera for a while

All I can say is - well done Bill & Sian. A fantastic job as usual, under what seem to be very difficult circumstances. More confirmation in my mind that they are the very best that BBC News have to offer.

Have they gone home now? Who's presenting on News 24 and where?

Well I'm glad Bill & Sian have been allowed to go home, especially as it is Sian's birthday - wasn't Bill nice letting her go home before him?!

Maybe this will get them noticed as the great broadcasters that they are.
